Dashboard
Dashboard
Dashboard is the first screen after sign-in. It helps you answer three quick questions: what is happening, what needs attention, and where should you go next.
What is Dashboard for?
- checking high-level numbers
- spotting work that needs attention
- opening the modules you use most often
- confirming which operational areas your account can access
What do you usually see here?
Depending on the project and your role, Dashboard may show:
- summary cards
- alerts or counters that need attention
- charts or short trend blocks
- quick links to common modules
- notices related to system or content activity
If your dashboard looks smaller than another user’s screen, it is often a permission difference rather than an error.
How should you read it?
If you work with content
Focus on:
- new content counts
- pending items
- shortcuts into the module you are responsible for
If you manage a team
Focus on:
- total volume by area
- highlighted warnings
- visible trends when charts are available
If you are technical
Focus on:
- configuration warnings
- signs of failed sync or unusual system state
- post-deployment checks after a release
Common usage flow
- Sign in to admin.
- Open
Dashboard. - Check whether there are warnings or pending items.
- Click the relevant card or shortcut to continue into the correct module.
Why can Dashboard look “light” or almost empty?
This usually happens when:
- the system is newly installed
- your account only has limited permissions
- the project has not accumulated much data yet
Even then, Dashboard is still useful because it tells you the system is currently quiet and has no large backlog.
Practical habit
If you are not sure where to begin your workday, open Dashboard first. In a few seconds you can tell whether you should move into Posts, Comments, Contacts, or another module.
