Manage Documents

Manage Documents is the right screen for posts that include downloadable files or digital documents. It fits ebooks, forms, guides, manuals, or reference files.

How is this different from a normal post?

  • attachments are required
  • extra metadata such as bookAuthor and bookReleaseDate may be used
  • the attached file should always be checked carefully to ensure the correct version is published

Before publishing a document

  • open the file once and test it
  • review the document title, short description, and thumbnail
  • confirm the author or release date if your system uses those fields

Suggested process

  1. Create the record in Create Post and choose document.
  2. Attach the file before saving.
  3. Verify the result in Post Detail.
  4. Only make it public when the download works correctly.
