Change Password
Change Password
Change Password is the screen you use when you want to rotate credentials or when you suspect the old password may no longer be safe. This is one of the most important self-service actions in the admin area.
When should you change your password?
- right after receiving an account from someone else
- when the current password has been used for too long
- when you suspect someone else may know it
- when your organization requires periodic password rotation
Step-by-step flow
- Open
Personal Account. - Select
Change Password. - Enter your current password.
- Enter a new password.
- Enter the new password again to confirm it.
- Click
Save.
What should a good new password look like?
- long enough
- difficult to guess
- not based on your name, birthday, or phone number
- different from passwords used in other systems
What should you do after changing it?
Two good follow-up checks are:
- sign out and sign back in with the new password
- end older sessions as well if the system offers that option
If you cannot sign in afterward
Check for capitalization mistakes, extra spaces, or a wrong current password in the first field. If the problem continues, a system administrator can help reset the password.
