Update Profile
The Update Profile page is where you correct or refresh the information attached to your own account. Use it when your display name, email, avatar, or profile details need to be updated.
What can you usually edit?
Depending on the project, this screen may allow you to change:
- display name
- username
- avatar
- extra profile details used by the organization
If you do not see all of these fields, the project configuration or your role may be limiting what can be changed.
Step-by-step update flow
- Open
Personal Account. - Select
Update Profile. - Edit the fields that need to change.
- Review spelling, email format, and contact details.
- Click
Save.
What should you watch out for when changing email or username?
- a wrong email can stop you from receiving notices or password recovery instructions
- a username should be easy to recognize but not overly simple
- if the project uses email as the main identity channel, review it carefully before saving
What if the avatar does not update?
Common reasons are:
- your role does not allow avatar changes
- the uploaded file is too large or the wrong format
- the server has a file permission problem
If this starts happening right after deployment, the technical team should check write permissions for storage.
Quick validation tip
After saving, return to Account Overview and confirm that the updated information is now visible there.
